You are invited to submit an abstract for the 2026 ASEE STL Annual Spring Conference at
Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York on April 24 – 25, 2026.
Who should consider submitting:
● Engineering educators at all levels
● K-12 educators
● University/college faculty
● Post-doctoral researchers
● Graduate students
● Undergraduate students
Topics: All submissions should be connected to engineering education and engineering
technology education.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
● From the Frontlines: Challenges and successes bringing Generative AI to the classroom
● Generative AI: Its role in reshaping design, problem-solving, and personalized learning
● Curriculum Transformation: Rethinking pedagogy to include experiential learning,
simulation, and AI-assisted instruction
● Interdisciplinary Innovation: Bridging engineering with data science, ethics, sustainability,
and entrepreneurship
● Classroom Engagement: Effective strategies to capture student attention
● Equity & Access: Ensuring inclusive education in the face of digital transformation
● Robotics & Automation: Preparing students for intelligent systems and human-machine
collaboration
● Building Engineers for Society: From outreach and building the student pipeline to career
readiness and industry collaboration
● Assessment of Teaching and Learning: Novel strategies for assessing student thinking
and pegagogic efficacy
Students are also welcome to submit abstracts on their engineering projects.
Instructions:
The abstract body is limited to 2000 characters and should succinctly summarize the work to
be presented. All abstracts should be well-written and proofread. Good practices indicate an
abstract should contain enough new information, contain a clear objective and/or hypothesis, a
clear and concise summary of essential methods, results, and conclusions. For works in
progress, abstracts should disclose primary findings and should avoid promissory statements
such as “experiments are in progress” or “results will be discussed”.
All abstracts must be presented during the technical sessions and have the option of being
accompanied by a full paper (< 15 pages) or extended abstract (< 4 pages). Papers and
extended abstracts will be reviewed for publication on the ASEE STL Section website and
ASEE National website.
Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit discipline specific topics related
to their research or capstone projects. All student engineering project abstracts must be
accompanied by a poster presentation to showcase their work. Student work on engineering
education may alternatively be presented during the technical sessions.
Awards: The Best Paper Award and Best Poster Awards will be presented at the conference
and will be posted on the ASEE STL Section website.
